Jay and Jennifer Mack

/ Lucky Lady Tasting Room

Jay and Jennifer are home brewers and wine makers. They live in Aurora, Nebraska with their teenage son, Johnathan. Jay and Jennifer's wine experience started with a couple bottles of Boone's Farm wine. Jay quickly expanded Jennifer's wine palette, however she still sticks to the sweeter wines. Jay tends to venture into the darker, dryer more oaked red wines. Jay is a very diverse in beer, as it starts with lighter beers to the dark, thick and rich creamy stouts. Both Jennifer and Jay are quite handy in the kitchen and love to share foods with their wines and beers.

    Wednesday, April 29th

We find it interesting that this post comes on Leap Year Day. Leap Year an anomaly, that comes from the amount of time it takes our Earth to rotate around the sun. It would give you another day to enjoy a glass of wine or to enjoy time with a loved one.

We lowered our funding goal this week and we are challenging everyone that takes a look to help us get to $5000.00 by the end of the week. We are getting down to the wire, but are positive that we can make our goal. Every little donation helps to fill in the big picture!

We’ve mentioned the wineries and the food, as well as some of our operational plans, this week we thought we’d touch on some of the wines and a few other little amenities.

A few of the Nebraska wines we’d like to mention:

In Mitchell at Prairie Vineyard: He has a Blackberry that is totally awesome and a huge selections of wines for all tastes.

In Raymond at James Arthur Vineyards: They have a huge selection with many varieties and new ones every year. A favorite from them is the limited Port.

In Central City at Prairie Creek Vineyards: They have some great sweet wines, like Moonshine and Sweet Ass White.

Other amenities we’d like to offer:

WiFi access! Everyone needs to connect or disconnect from time to time.

Banquet Room! Our plans included remodeling the area for a banquet room, for your groups party or maybe a meeting to discuss your businesses future.

Private Party Room: Want to have a private girls’ night out party or need to get the classmates back together, we’ll make room for you!

Remember our goal, $5000.00 by the end of the week!!

Just over 30 days to go. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop us a line or give us a call, we’d be happy to talk with you.

This week we are going to discuss our plans for food at the tasting room. Every one has heard the phrase, “Want cheese with that Wine?!” Its not good to have a drink on an empty stomach! We will offer complimentary homemade breads and handmade dipping oils will be offered with wine tasting or with the glass of wine.

We also will offer will offer meat, cheese and cracker trays at a reasonable price. There will be a variety of meats and cheeses, we want to pull many of the meats and cheeses from local sources.

On the weekends we plan on bringing in catered meals from local caterers. Our plan include a Two meat full course meal, Soup and Sandwich meal, and a Pasta Meal. We look to serve meals on either Friday Night or Saturday Night. As we develop, new meals will be planned along with putting in a full commercial kitchen.

Ask your questions and we will answer them next week in our update!

    Wednesday, February 8th:

38 Days to Go to meet our goal. Help from you would be greatly appreciated. We would enjoy it if you would take a moment to visit our PeerBacker page and donate. Every little bit helps! We would be thrilled if 25 – 50 people put in $25.00 each. That would take us closer to our goal. Your donation will be rewarded with perks!

Last week we mentioned we’d like to feature wines from all 24 Nebraska Vineyards and Wineries. If we bring in 2 different wines from each, your looking at 48 different wines to try. In addition to those wines, we’d also like to bring in 20 of your more classic wines from other parts of the country. These wines will be offered for tasting and off sale. Along with tasting, wine will be offered by the glass or the bottle. Domestic beers will be available for all those that do not want wine. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available as well.

Next week we will discuss our food services!!
