Joe is an entrepreneur and writer with experience in non-profit management, real estate, higher education, and government relations. He currently writes and speaks on topics related to sustainable development and coral reef conservation through his non-profit initiative for marine and coastal studies. He is also the author of several journal articles and book chapters on matters relating to critical infrastructure protection and management. He is currently working with his friend and former college classmate, Patrick Tubman, to launch a sustainable alternative to the conventional tour experience on Oahu, Hawai'i through their new project, Oahu X. Joe is on hiatus from writing for a few months to focus on launching this new project, but he is slated to speak next summer at the 12th International Coral Reef Symposium in Cairns, Australia on the potential for impact investment mechanisms to reef conservation efforts.
