What/Where/When are you backing?

I have been accepted on a People to People Ambassador program to the Wonders of the Canadian West in the summer of 2012.  I will be traveling with a delegation of kids my age, led by experienced teachers.  Our journey will take us to historical sites, famous landmarks, and expose us to unique cultural experiences.  Plus, we’ll be eating some interesting local food along the way (think poutine).  Our 12 day route goes through Victoria, Nanaimo, Okanagan, Banff, and Calgary.  It’s going to be a whirlwind tour.

Why are you backing?

I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime.  I want to see the world, connect with other cultures, and gain the independence only travel can bring.  However, I need your help to make these dreams a reality.

Student Ambassador / People To People

I am a twelve year old sixth grader attending Thurman Francis Arts Academy in Smyrna, TN, as a student of the magnet program. I have received recognition by Duke TIP program. I am a second year member of the student council. I have received recognition for perfect attendance, citizenship, honor roll, and the principal's list. My interests include drawing, watching movies, playing the double bass, and collecting movie memorabilia. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I want to become a surgeon when I grow up because I think it would be cool and I can help people who are sick or in pain.
