about my venture

I recently moved to Long Island, NY and while exploring the Island with my family, I was astonished by how many plastic lighters are washed up on the beautiful beaches here!  I also wonder how many end up in the bellies of our wildlife as indicated in the posted picture.  It's time to make a "green", convenient "light anywhere match" made here in our USA!

My patent includes a "Quick Fire" match with a built in striker, is water proof and it also has a glow in the dark option.  I've learned very quickly that inventing is very tough for an individual like myself.  I am seeking funding so that I can build a web-site, make some samples/prototype and  line up manufacturing as well as file the final utility patent.  Our match will be made here in the USA and with recyled materials.  With the right marketing, we can stop people from using those plastic throw away lighters made in China and other countries besides ours.  I will also be donating a portion of the profits to the Red Cross and other organizations that you will help me pick.

I recently moved to Long Island,NY from San Antonio,TX with my wife Misty and kids so she could follow a job opportunity.
