Help Us Reopen the Fenton Cinema!  
Our goal is to acquire the Fenton Cinema located in Fenton, MI.  The cinema is an eight screen movie theater that has been closed since 2008. This has left an entertainment void in the Fenton Community that needs to be filled.

We want to provide a friendly, clean, affordable atmosphere where families can come and enjoy a movie in their own community.  A place where teenagers can come on dates or just with a group of friends. A theater that shows first run movies at bargain prices. The residents of Fenton don't want to have to drive 20 miles one way to see a movie and then have to pay high ticket and concession prices on top of that. 

Our plan is to upgrade to digital projection and sound, add a 3D screen, make all the necessary repairs to the roof, HVAC units and parking lot. We plan to provide a party room for movie parties, put a fresh coat of paint on everything and replace damaged seats and do a thorough, professional, cleaning of the movie screens, drapes, seats and carpets.

We all know that the Fenton Cinema has been closed for the past four years and their have been several attempts to purchase the building and reopen it.  It is going to take someone who has experience operating a movie theater to make this actually happen.  We are those people!  With the current economic climate it is tough to find funding to take on this type of project, that's why we are reaching out to the community to ask for your help to get this done. If we all work together, we can make this happen!

The great thing about using Peerbackers to provide support is that money is taken in the form of a pledge collected safely and securely through Paypal. We don't collect ANY funds if we don't get enough to follow through on the project.  When we have secured enough funds to use as a down payment or purchase the theater, we will collect the pledges. 

We are investing approximately $50,000.00 of our own money into this project in addition to the balance we will have to borrow from the bank.

My husband, Steve, and I reopened a five screen movie theater that had been closed down for six years. We have successfully owned and operated the theater for the past eight years. Menards Home Improvement store has purchased the mall where we lease our theater and we are forced to close. We have been small business owners for 14 years and understand the kind of hard work and dedication it takes to make a business successful. Our desire is to apply the same successful business practices to the reopening of the Fenton Cinema.
