about my venture

My name is Anna Cheyenne Horton-Symons. I have the extreme honor of being the only student in my age group from Pueblo, Colorado to be selected to participate as a student ambassador in the People to People Heart of Europe Trip 2012. As a student ambassador in the Heart of Europe program, I will travel to France, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria for a twenty day ambassadorship, during which I will learn about cultures, and history of other people.  I will have the honor of meeting with government officials, perform community service projects, and even meet with holocaust survivors. 

 

People to People is an organization created by Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956 in hopes of promoting peace. President Eisenhower set forth to do this by providing students opportunities to travel and build friendships with our global neighbors. 

 

Participation in the people to people program is a direct result of my hard work and high scores in school as well as my extra-curricular activities.  My dream is to visit other countries, it comes with the possibility of high school credits, and it would be a great advantage when applying for college and jobs.  With my dreams of MIT I must succeed at trying to obtain all the money I need, but I need your help. 

 

I am a person who understands the value of the dollar, I also understand that this trip is not cheap but something like a dollar or even a lot of dollars is not going to keep me from the experience of a life time. I know I can raise the money and I would love to have your help and support. Thank you so much for your time.

My name is Anna, I am in the 7th grade at Corwin International Magnet School in Pueblo, Colorado. I am a 4.0 GPA student in a gifted and talented program. I love to read, write, and sing. I want to go to college to be an Engineer. I am really interested in Robots and love to tinker with inventions.
