about my venture

Who am I and what's my deal? 

Hi, My name is Stuart Bogue and I have long held  a burning desire to
create and operate a Motorcycle Touring company. I have been riding for some
thirty years and have accumulated over 400,000 miles on two wheels. More
importantly, I have had a great time doing so. I grew up in the Middle East and
grew to love the adventure of traveling to unknown places ,meeting new people
and experiencing their cultures(I also met my wife there..) Lots of miles,people,experiences have accumulated in the ensuing years.

So?

I have worked in the Automobile and Motorcycle Industries for the last eighteen years in Sales Management, as Manufacturer Representative,performed Sales Training and Consulting, International Imports and business owner.During that time, I have learned a great deal about people,customer service,business,and I rode motorcycles a lot. I began planning the trips my buddies and I would take some 20 years ago and I loved it.And I was good at it. Over the years since,I have planned and led countless trips for my friends,my customers,and total strangers. Some times I was paid,sometimes I wasn't. I loved every minute of it. So...now we are ready to do what we we do best. Show people a wonderful time,in wonderful places,on wonderful motorcycles.

Who is "we"

"We" are my wife BC and I . I first met BC in 1977 while we were attending Bahrain High School in Jufair,Bahrain. We were quite the couple in those days.We were also young and not so smart.We drifted apart and life happened. Some 28 years later, we were reunited when we  found each other on classmates.com in 2006. 15 days after that fateful reunion,I was on her doorstep in Asson,France We are married now,living in SW France much of the time.BC is the mother of three wonderful children,all of whom live here in France,as she has for almost all of the  last 33 years. We lived together on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 2008-2009 and will maintain our  Corporate base in my hometown of Huntsville,Al.

BC has a broad background in the tourism industry.She has worked on a number of projects including  France's hosting of soccer's World Cup 98 as well as serving Corporate clients like Coca Cola and Toyota Motors in hosting their International Sales Meetings. Her creativity,organizational skills,and enthusiasm helped to create a wonderfully unique and safe experience for all concerned. BC is fluent in French and English and speaks German more than a little. BC is also a former business owner and well versed in the hard work necessary for success.She is a dynamic,determined lady with a positive can-do attitude. Truly one of a kind,I call her "a force of nature".

What will "we" do?

 I will scout the roads,plan the routes,maintain the bikes,lead the tours,manage the road staff,direct the marketing,oversee customer service.

BC will coordinate client transport,hotels,restaurants,and cultural activities.Assuring a hassle free and truly wonderful local experience wherever we may go.

What,just the two of you?

No.We have a small crew of experienced and dedicated riders and assistants anxiously awaiting the chance to serve our clients.

Running a business is very difficult,it takes more than just wanting to do something....Most businesses fail,you know..

Indeed it does and yes they do. But desire is a necessary  ingredient. We love doing this.  We  know that no amount of work is too much when you love something enough. We know that if you don't succeed  at the bottom line,then you fail. It is a business,not a game,not a fairy tale.We have to make money.We have to spend what we make wisely.We have to work hard,work smart.We have to make money or we don't get to get up the next day and do what we love.Making money allows us to provide a paycheck to our staff,and provide our clients with the memorable experience of traveling and discovering the world with us. We have the experience,the understanding and the desire to succeed and take our place in this viable and growing industry. We will never know if we don't try.

So, why are you telling me this?

We need help in achieving our goals. These initial funds will help us to form our company and establish ourselves as a viable business entity. We cannot fund the actual operation of the business until we take certain actions.We are utilizing a new methodology called crowdfunding. Crowdfunding is based on the idea that our friends,family,colleagues,and people in general want to see other people have a chance to succeed,and have a desire to play a role in that success. Crowdfunding allows people to choose who deserves a chance,rather than banks, Government Agencies etc. It empowers those who choose to contribute as well as those receiving their help. Crowdfunding allows for people to help as they choose. However much they choose.No amount is too small to contribute.It all adds up to success.
