about my venture

Hi everyone, it’s Tyler,

I will be representing Dumont at the People to People World Leadership Forum in March 2012 for six days.  I can’t wait to see all the wonderful monuments and museums and learn about the history of our great country.  Along with other 5th and 6th graders from around the United States, I will be able to meet current and former members of Congress on Capitol Hill, visit all the memorials and monuments and participate in a service project to protect and preserve one of our national treasures.

I think I am most excited about going to Arlington National Cemetery and the U.S. Institute of Peace.  That is part of my itinerary called “Remembering the past, building the future.”  It sounds very exciting to take part in a workshop on resolving international conflict.  And I hope to bring back to my school and community the information I have learned.

5th Grader / People to People

I'm a 10yr old who loves all sports - but soccer is my favorite and I play it practically year round. My newest activities are learning saxophone and working with the Environmental Club at my school. I love 5th grade and am currently a straight "A" student. I live in Dumont, NJ with my Mom and 6yr old sister.
