Send Sam to Europe

about my venture

I will get to do some amazing things on this trip to Europe.  The group of students (42 all together) that I'm going with have been nominated and selected because of their grades ... and because they passed the interview. We will be visiting 6 countries in 19 days.  We will:

Meet a Parliament or Cabinet member.

Learn defensive arts as an honorary knight at Warwick Castle.

We will learn about World War II, Medieval history, International politics and local government

Rappel down a castle wall in Wales.

See iconic landmarks of England’s royal history, ranging from Warwick Castle to the Tower of London.

Learn to sail at the United Kingdom Sailing Academy.

Explore the artistic masterpieces of the world-famous Louvre Museum.

We will visit the beaches of Normandy, hear from a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge, and explore the Anne Frank House.

This is just a few of the things we will do on our trip.  If you would like to know more about the itinerary, visit the People to People site

about entrepreneur

Sam Skiver

I am 13 years old and in 7th grade. I like math and science the most. I do Par Kour (free-running) and plan to start playing hockey this year. Like most teenagers, I like to play video games in my spare time. My family doesn't do much (okay, any) traveling, so I was surprised when I got invited to travel out of the country and my parents said I could go. Of course, there was a catch! I had to come up with the money on my own. Yikes!
