Greetings Family & Friends!

In my dreams, I am standing 906 ft in the air, gazing over the City of Lights. Standing on the Eiffel Tower I can see the Arc de Triomphe and Le Louvre. While strolling down the Champs- Elysées, I reminisce about the image of the Mona Lisa and the extreme detail of the 504 year old painting. I aspire to see the world, connect with other cultures, and gain the independence that only travel can bring. However, I need help making my aspirations become a reality.

As an ambitious student with dreams, I have a plan. My name is Aaleyah Rogѐ Stevenson, Leyah for short; I am currently a junior in high school. My goal upon graduating is to attend Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise (FIDM), one of the top 10 fashion schools in the United States. As an active student I am involved in a number of activities. I am a member of student congress and a photographer on the school’s yearbook staff. I am also Treasurer of Fashion Etc., which is the school’s fashion club.

In the summer of 2011, I was nominated to travel and study in England, France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Switzerland with a student ambassador program called People to People. They offer extraordinary, life-changing educational travel opportunities for students. With nearly 50 years of experience, more than 500,000 alumni, and destinations on seven continents, People to People Ambassador Programs is the world's most recognized and respected educational travel provider. In September of 2011, out of hundreds of students nominated, I was selected for this amazing opportunity.

This opportunity will open several academic doors and provide many life experiences that I may have never been able to achieve on my own. I feel blessed to have been given this chance to take this amazing adventure. With this ambassador program, excellent grades, hard work, and my faith in the Lord, I believe my dreams and goals will be achieved.

I am paying my way and raising money for the program. In order to do so, I will offer babysitting and Mommy and Daddy Day Out services.
