Hi! My name is Manuel, I am 12 years old. My parents taught me that you have to work to make things happen for you. I never thought that me working hard at school would get me noticed enough in a little town, Texas City, TX, to get me a chance to travel to England and Paris as a student ambassador through People to People! Especially since it's so hard for me being diagnosed as bipolar. This is not a weakness but a motivation! It proves that if you work hard enough anything can happen, so my new logo is "Work to Make a Better Future". I plan to live by this! I am so excited to travel the world and expand my options in life and that even in a small town like mine you can stand out.

Manuel Lopez

I am 12 years old and I love football! That's my favorite thing. I have a little sister and baby brother. I try to get involved in everything I possibly can. I signed myself up for math scholars last year to compete just to try it out and see if I liked it, which I did! I love to draw as well. My mom sometimes gets mad because the notebooks she buys for school I draw on or in, actually I draw on all my stuff. I have learned to try everything as far as food goes no matter how it looks or smells from my family. I come from a very multicultural family. My favorite channels on TV are Discovery, History, Animal Planet, Cartoon network and ESPN.
