"...a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
why do projects have to be reviewed?
We review projects for suitability
We want to make sure that ventures and ideas do not go against our project guidelines. In a nutshell, investment opportunities where investors receive funds back (as this is prohibited by the SEC) and we also will not accept projects that would make your grandmother blush, meaning no projects that have “adult content”.
We want to assess your commitment to get out there and shake the money free
Posting a project is not a set-it-and-forget-it endeavor. You will have to work the peerbackers community here as well as communities off this site. We’ll give you easy-to-use tools to post to Facebook, Twitter, etc., but you have to work those communities. You have to use social media to make the funds come in.
- Before you submit your project, please understand that it requires quite a bit of effort on your part to reach your funding goal.
- Once you launch your campaign, it is pretty much a full-time job for those weeks of pledging.
- Those who have customers, an audience, or a social or professional network already in place that they can convert to “backers” will have the most success with this funding model.
